Take Me Home 02:18
Take me home, Take me there. I don't know where to turn. You don't know what these words mean anymore. Take me home, Take me there. I fall in love with the places that I'm in. I fall in love with the places that I've been. I fall in love with the faces that I know, and the ones I don't, I'll get there someday. "Keep your head up kid", they said. "Don't let all this shit fill your head." Take me home, Take me there. "All these things that drag you down, they don't mean a thing in the end."

Here. 01:56
I left home for a couple of months, but it slowly turned to a couple of years. I don't know if I'll every go back there. I got everything I need here. I smoked too many cigarettes, I drank too many beers. Way more than I thought that I every would. But I guess I love it here. We all grow up, it seems we'll leave this town for greater things. I don't know where the next road goes, but I know I'll always have a home. No job, no money, but I always make it through. Good friends, great memories. I guess I'll stick around here

I was a cut-rate prodigal. My life can be boiled down to cliche parable. Always looking for a home, Always looking for a road. All I know is broken hearts. All I know is never feeling home. Holes in my pocket, got nothing to hold onto too. My eyes are heavy, and I'm growing weak. Time means nothing if I can't fix this now. I wish you didn't love someone else. All I know is broken hearts. All I know is never feeling home.

about

For the past three years I have lived in two different cities. This project is my best attempt at working through and expressing the emotions and changes that come along with this situation.

I have two homes now, but the meaning of home means different things when I applied to each context.
